Special Dietary and Religious Needs

You may be interested in other available services due to special dietary or religious needs. We offer vegetarian and vegan options for every meal. Kosher options are available at retail locations and Allison Dining Hall. Halal items are available upon request at Foster-Walker dining location. Good nutrition is a vital component of a healthy lifestyle. NUCuisine is aware of the importance of nutritionally balanced meals in the lives of busy college students. A variety of healthful menu selections are available daily, including lower fat, vegetarian and vegan, as well as traditional menu items.

NUCuisine doesn’t endorse any one particular diet. Rather we recognize the diverse nutrition needs of our diners and offer a variety of foods that can be tailored to fit a variety of lifestyles. The following symbols identify foods that are mindful, vegan and vegetarian. The nutrient values for each category are based on the recommendations and guidelines set forth by various reputable health organizations including American Heart Association, American Institute for Cancer Research, and Dietary Guidelines Consortium.

Vegan entrees – items are completely plant-based and are free of animal products.

Vegetarian entrees – items contain dairy and/or egg products.
